Advanced Coherent Technologies
Advanced Coherent Technologies, LLC (ACT) was established in 2006 in San Diego, California to provide support for government and commercial agencies in need of innovative technologies related to remote sensing.  After years of experience working with multi- and hyperspectral imaging, ACT adopted the idea that smaller, less expensive, and more capable systems are necessary to meet the needs of military and commercial users.  As a result, ACT's systems are designed to have the lowest size, weight, and power possible to find and extract low-contrast and hidden targets in cluttered environments ranging from desert to oceanic as well as provide real-time surveillance capabilities.
Core Competencies
ACT has extensive experience and expertise in environmental and electro-optical remote sensing, having participated in nearly every DoD spectral remote sensing program throughout the last two decades. Expertise in the following areas is available: 

  • Design, manufacture, and testing of Multi- and Hyperspectral camera systems
  • Platform integration to include manned and unmanned aircraft, boats, and stationary
  • Custom camera control, acquisition, storage, and detection software
  • Image processing and analysis, data product creation, and custom algorithm development
Company Goals and Visions
To design, develop, and demonstrate low cost, multi-channel imaging systems that are capable of efficiently collecting high-end imagery and producing real-time, high-quality data products suitable for military, commercial, and civil use. We expect that ACT will be a leading provider of small electro-optical (EO) systems for military, commercial, and civil applications.
R & D
ACT’s professionals have designed, developed, and tested a series of multi-channel imaging systems over recent years. The result is the first commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) multi-channel, multispectral, turreted imager on the market. The EYE-500 Series is based on the commercial TASE400© gimbal in production by Cloud Cap Technology. These systems are tailored at the component and algorithm level to provide data products for specific applications. Applications range from polarization research to the detection and tracking of marine mammals. Additionally, search and rescue, mine and improvised explosive device (IED) detection, coastal storm assessment, and crop monitoring and evaluation are all viable missions.
